After making his transition, in 1998, from a singer/pianist in piano bars to a stand-up singer on the cabaret stage, Sammy Goldstein was awarded the 1999 Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs ("MAC") Award for his New York cabaret debut. Creating a new show for 2000, Sammy was nominated a second time for the prestigious MAC Award, this time for "Outstanding Musical Comedy Performer."

From performing at several private affairs for Barbara Walters honoring such dignitaries and celebrities as Henry Kissinger, Mrs. Anwar Sadat and Carol Channing to co-starring on episodes of "Murder, She Wrote" and "Columbo" are just a few of the career highlights of this award-winning entertainer.

In addition to performing in major cities across the U.S., including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Memphis and Las Vegas, Sammy has also entertained extensively in Greece and Norway, and on major cruise lines around the world.

From madcap comedy songs and Broadway showtunes to sentimental love songs, Sammy has been equally successful entertaining both as a singer/pianist and as a stand-up singer. In January 2000, he made his New York solo concert debut at the 450-seat Swyer Theatre at The Egg in Albany to great acclaim.

Named as one of the "Top of the Century - Cabaret's Premier Acts" by Cabaret Scenes Magazine, Sammy's critically acclaimed debut recording, "I'm Glad There Is You" was named one of the 1998 "Ten Best Cabaret CD's of the Year" by InTheatre Magazine and appeared on the first-round ballot of the 1999 Grammy Awards for "Traditional Pop Vocal Performance." His second CD recording, "So Far It's Wonderful," was released in October, 2001. In addition, Sammy was named as one of the "Ten Best Male Cabaret Vocalists of 2000" by Theater Mania.com.
